Job Description
Provide support within the IT team within the following areas:
- Daily user support
- Backend upgrades
- Migrations
- General laptop and server systems’ administration
- Miscellaneous services dictated by the ITO
Responsibilities:
- Provide on and off site customer support (phone, remotely).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems related to: hardware failure, operating systems, software applications, and network issues.
- Provide accurate and detailed descriptions of incidents and service requests in a ticketing system.
- Diagnose, resolve, or refer issues related to Macs and PCs in a timely manner.
- Manage wireless devices (cell phones, tablets, MOFIs, etc.)
- Create, maintain and support training materials.
- Enforce corporate protocol
- Report violation of corporate protocol when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years+ of help desk/IT customer service support and/or network systems engineering experience.
- Experience with Apple (OS X, Server, & iOS), Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), Windows, and/or Android devices.
The ideal candidate will have

- Excellent troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude despite challenging situations
- Ability to make decisions based on business ethics and not personal morale.
- Networking skills (Juniper, Cisco) preferred.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Timely and efficient in all matters concerning clients
- capable of deciphering paradoxical situations
- Experienced with VoIP phone systems (Cisco Collaboration Tools) preferred.
- Excited to work and learn in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Available to work nights and/or weekends when necessary.
- Experience with Apple (OS X, Server, & iOS), Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), Windows, and/or Android devices.
