There is no reason for them to ever need to use a proxy for anything because they have much better things to occupate their precious time with. Most famously, China blocked YouTube from its citizens after supportive videos towards Tibet were being uploaded faster than they could block individually. You will know when a website is being blocked because it will show up like your Internet is not working, but when you try other sites, they will work fine.

Because the government is now involved in blocking websites, many people are looking for ways to use web proxies all the time, and not just while they are at school or work. This is rather easy to do. All you have to do is configure your computer to connect to a particular proxy instead of the regular Internet by default. This will give you added security if you are scared of people looking at what you are doing on the Internet or if you are trying to better secure the private information you are sharing over the World Wide Web.

It should be noted that some web proxies are set up by hackers trying to gain your personal information. You should always be careful about which proxy you are going to use because choosing the wrong one can end up being one of the worst decisions of your life.
